♦ Capable of performing drilling, boring, and trepanning operations on large-diameter, heavy-duty components.

Machining Processes:

♦ During machining, the workpiece rotates at a low speed while the cutting tool rotates at a high speed and feeds.
♦ For drilling, the BTA (Boring and Trepanning Association) internal chip removal process is employed.
♦ When boring, cutting fluid is supplied internally through the boring bar and discharged forward (towards the headstock end), along with the removal of chips.
♦ Trepanning utilizes an external chip removal process, requiring specialized trepanning tools, tool shanks, and dedicated workholding fixtures.
♦ According to machining requirements, the machine is equipped with a drill (boring) spindle box, enabling tool rotation and feeding.
